General Questions

The below questions and answers represent those most commonly asked. Please contact us if you have additional questions.

Lodging Questions

What is your check-in / check-out time?

Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 10am. Late arrivals are allowed with notice. Late check-out is possible on occasion but may require a half-day room rate fee. It is best to ask at least 24 hours in advance about a late check-out.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any cancellation outside 30 days from arrival does not have a penalty. If you desire to cancel within 30 days of arrival, you will be charged the full rate of your entire stay.

Do you have cribs or playpens? Rollaway beds?

We have them available by reservation only due to limited quantity on hand. It is recommended you mention this during your reservation to ensure one is available for your stay. Rollaway beds are $15 per night.

What airport should I fly into?

We are approximately 70 miles from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell, MT which is serviced by most major airlines with direct flights from many major cities around the U.S.

What is included with my stay?

Aside from your suite or cottage, every lodging guest has access to our

Water Park with saltwater pools, a large jacuzzi, splash pad for children and the 250 foot water-slide, cabanas, lounge chairs, and poolside beverage and meal service,.

Wilderness Lake with free rental of kayaks, paddle boards, life preservers, and floating pads.

24/7 Exercise Studio (18+ yrs)

Sports Park with basketball, volleyball, pickleball, soccer, amphitheater for live music, walking trails, family picnic area, bonfire pit, and lawn games. Guests may check out sports equipment as well from our Pro Shop in the clubhouse and for use at the Sports Park.

Can I charge amenities and food to my room?

Yes. A signature will be required during check-in of those allowed to bill items to the room.

What kind of restaurants are nearby?

We have our own Wilderness Grille on the property and within walking distance of many of our lodging suites and cottages. The town of Eureka is approximately 5 miles outside the resort and has alternative restaurants to choose from.

Do you have group lodging for reunions or retreats?

We do have dedicated cabins which accommodate larger groups of guests all in one building. We have the ability to calculate a group discount for groups of 30 or more staying at the same time. All lodging is based on availability and rates will vary based on the time of year. July and August are times when group discounts are not provided. We recommend talking to our resort services about your requirements. Because we are a destination resort, we usually can work out packages that include catering, golf, horse riding, spa services or other activities as part of your stay. Do you have an exercise studio?

Yes. It is located between our Deluxe Cottage 3 and 4 across from the main Clubhouse on property.

Do you offer room service?

Yes. Anything on our dining menu is available for in-room service. We also provide catering for larger groups of guests.

What are your housekeeping practices?

We refresh amenities daily, remove trash, and make beds. For those staying a week or longer, we change sheets every 4 days.

What sort of activities are available during our stay?

We are a family centered resort and as such we have activities for all ages. Some activities are planned at specific times of day with our Events Coordinator and others are available any time while the area of the resort is open. We have an activities and events calendar here which shows all activities available each week and additionally the planned events we have from time to time.

In addition to the free activities and those that are available with your lodging, we have our Championship 18 Hole Disc Golf course that just opened in Summer 2019, our Horse Park , Spa & Wellness Center , and can help arrange some off-property activities as well upon request.

Do you offer smoking rooms?

No. We are a smoke-free facility. Vaping or smoking of any kind is only allowed outdoors and beyond 25 feet of any building or cottage.

Can I have visitors when I’m a guest at the resort?

It is our policy that no resort guest may have visitors inside the resort during their stay. The resort facilities are for guests and members only.

What is your pet policy?

We allow pets under 50 pounds for a nightly fee of $50 in our Deluxe Cottage Suites only.

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes. Once you have checked in, you will be billed the entire amount of the reservation nights plus hotel taxes and resort fees.

Golf Questions

What is the course open and close date?

We plan April 1 each year. Spring weather may affect the condition of the course. We officially close the course at the end of October each season.

What are the course hours?

Depending on the time of year, the course may open earlier or later. It is best to check out the booking times on our tee booking page and the date you would like to golf to know our first and last tee times available. Our Pro Shop typically closes at the time of the last tee off of the day.

What is the golf attire requirement?

Do you offer golf packages?

Yes. Please contact our resort services staff at 406-889-6501 Opt 1 for any current specials or packages available.

What are your green fees?

Do your fees include a cart?

Yes. The cart also comes with two complimentary bottled waters and golf towels.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations for any reason within 7 days of your booked tee time will result in a full green fee charge. Any bookings made for groups and secured by one person’s credit card will result in that person’s card being charged for any no-shows or cancellations within the 7 days.

Can I be a non-member to play?

Yes. The course is open to the public and our guests at the resort.

What kind of golf shoe spikes are allowed?

Our course requires soft-spikes only.

Can we book a tee time with less than 4 players? How about 5?

Our course policy is to always attempt to have 4 golfers per tee time. You may be paired up with other golfers to ensure our pace of play and tee times are as fast as possible. In some cases, we may allow more or less to play at a single tee time, but it must be approved by the club pro in advance.

What happens if it rains the day of my tee time, can I cancel without penalty?

Unfortunately, we do not control the weather and some golfers are ok to play in rain gear, so we do not allow cancellations without a full course fee penalty being charged. In cases of the course being inaccessible due to inclement weather or other hazardous conditions, players may be allowed to a rescheduled tee time when the superintendent declares the course closed on a normally schedule golf day.

Do you offer rental clubs?

Yes, but we have limited sets available for both RIGHT HAND and LEFT HAND players in men’s and women’s. We do not currently offer Junior sized clubs for rent. The cost per round is $60.

Can I use my golf cart to shuttle around the resort?

The golf cart is for course use only and must be returned immediately upon conclusion of your round. We have exclusive carts available for rent around the resort at $50 per day.

Is there a fee to use the practice range?

Anyone who has booked a tee-time is granted access to the driving and putting range without a fee. Resort guests may pay a $15 fee to access the range without a tee time.

Can a non-golfer accompany me while I play? Children? Pets?

Given permission from the club pro, you may have a non-golfer adult or child accompany you. Pets of any kind are not allowed on the course.

Do you offer any tournaments?

We do provide various tournament type play for our resort guests, members and the general public. Please refer to the events calendar for an up to date list of what is available and what type of tournament it is.

How long is the course? Is there a hole by hole layout I can see?

Can I become a member of the Wilderness Club Resort golf course?

At this time, membership is only available for real estate owners within the resort. We do offer corporate memberships limited to one season which provides a reduced fee per round. Please contact our pro shop for details about our corporate membership at 406-889-6501 Opt 2.

How soon should I arrive before my scheduled tee time?

We recommend 30 minutes to ensure check-in and any practice time on the range is possible.

What are the check-in procedures?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time. If you are not a guest staying in the resort, plan a little extra time to properly pass security at the front gate where you will be issued a parking pass good for your date of golf tee time only. All members of a tee time should report to the pro shop to check in versus just having one designee check in everyone. Once checked in, your party will receive one cart per two players. Be sure to be near the first tee within 5 minutes of your scheduled time to ensure we keep pace-of-play steady.

Do you have locker rooms and showers?

While we do not have designated lockers for use, we do have a changing room and public shower located in our exercise facility across from the clubhouse parking lot near Cottage 3 & 4.

Can I have a private tournament or corporate golf outing there?

Yes. We can facilitate golf outings for up to 140 players on a given day. We can also assist in arranging prizes, food and beverage, or other details upon request. Costs will be calculated after receiving full details of what is required by the hosting party. A 100% deposit of green fees is required for the amount of players you intend to have. Quantity of player changes may be made without penalty before 30 days. Additional amenity costs require 50% deposit at  time of booking and are expected paid in full the date of the event. No-shows are not entitled to a refund. To discuss more details, please contact our pro shop at 406-889-6501 Opt 2.

Do you provide golf lessons?

Yes. Our club pro is PGA certified and bills at $70 per hour. Appointments are required in advance by calling our pro shop at 406-889-6501 Opt 2.

What if I’m late for my tee time?

If you know you’re going to be late and contact our pro shop, we will try to fit you in if possible. If you show up late without contacting us in advance, we will do our best to accommodate you but can not guarantee a tee time within the time frame you were intending. In some cases, if we are booked, you will be charged your green fee entirely as a no-show if your arrival is well beyond a few minutes from your schedule time.

Do you accept walk-up players who do not have a tee time?

We do our best to fit in resort guests who do not have a tee time, but the general public will not be allowed in the front gate without a scheduled tee time in advance. You can book online or call for a tee time at 406-889-6501 Opt 2.

Do you allow pull carts or walking the course? Do you rent pull carts?

We allow pull carts or people to walk the course as long as their pace of play does not become too slow. Our course marshall may ask you to speed up your pace of play. We do not rent pull carts.

Can I bring my own food and beverage in a cooler?

We do not allow outside food or beverage on the course or anywhere near the club house or areas we serve food and beverages. We do not allow outside alcohol of any kind anywhere on the course or near the club house. We do provide a beverage cart and snack shack at the turn in addition to our Wilderness Grille in the clubhouse.

Can players share clubs from the same bag?

While we request that all players have their own bag, and also provide rental clubs for men and women, we may allow shared clubs if your tee time is not during peak hours. We desire to keep pace of play running smoothly.

Do you offer caddies?

We do not at this time.

Resort Questions

What are the front desk hours?

The front desk opens at 8am and closes at either 5 or 7pm depending on the time of year. Please ask during check-in.

Is the resort open to the general public without being a lodging guest?

The resort is intended for lodging guests and members only. No general public may access the resort without a lodging reservation, golf tee time, dinner reservation, spa appointment, or horse park reservation.

What airport should I fly into?

Do you offer babysitting services?

While the resort company itself does not employ or staff for babysitting services, we do have a recommended list of those who do in the area of the resort.

Do you offer golf carts for use around the resort?

Yes. The daily rental fee starts at $50 and availability is limited. It is recommended you request your cart during the reservation booking process to ensure one will be available.

What are the  hours of your various amenities in the resort?

The GOLF COURSE hours vary during the season. Morning tee times may be within an hour after sunrise and close within an hour of sunset.

Wilderness Grille: 7am – 9pm daily during the regular season
Water Park: 10am – 9pm (No Lifeguard Present)
Disc Golf Course: 8am – 8pm
Horse Park: 9am – 6:30pm (Last rides start at 3pm)

Do you provide a shuttle service?

At this time we do not.

Do you host weddings or other large events?

Yes. Our wedding brochure lists all of our fees and what it covers. For other larger events, please contact our resorts services department at 406-889-6501 Opt 1.

What is your photo policy?

We take marketing promotional photos throughout our resort and reserve the rights to use them which may include guests.

What is your policy for drones or other video gear?

We allow guests to use their cell phone video or video gear for their own documentation purposes. We do not allow drones to be flown without prior permission from management. If a guest is reported to be abusing their video recording subject area and perceived to be invading other’s privacy, they will be requested to discontinue.

What is your alcohol policy for guests at the resort?

No outside alcohol may be consumed anywhere near the clubhouse, golf course, water park or any area that our beverage cart or snack shack services. Guests may consume their own alcohol ONLY within their suite or cottage. Public intoxication will be dealt with by discretion of management and my lead to expulsion from the resort and / or a permanent ban from returning.

Can I bring my RV, Trailer / Camper, Boat into the resort? Do you allow camping?

The Wilderness Club Resort is not intended for traditional RV / Tent / Camper camping. We provide lodging suites and cottages for our guests. We also do not allow towed boats, trailers, campers, or RV’s to enter the property. We do provide overnight storage in a lot North on our property, for a fee. Please inquire prior to arrival for further explanation. The front gate will stop any vehicles towing one or an RV attempting to enter the property.

Do you have basketball, tennis, volleyball, pickleball, soccer or other sport courts or fields?

Yes. Our sports park has all the above except the tennis court at this time. Sports equipment may be checked out at the pro shop in the clubhouse.

Do you have an on-site laundry room?

Yes. It is located at the South end of Cottage 4 across from the Clubhouse. Guests are responsible for their own cleaning supplies.

Do you offer additional items like grills, firewood, etc. during my stay?

Yes. Please ask the front desk for a list of what is currently available during your time of stay and the fees.

Do you allow ATV’s, motorcycles, Razr’s to be used on resort property? What about bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc?

Many guests like to take advantage of the Montana wilderness and use their offroad motorized vehicles. However, we do not allow them to be used within the resort property. While we have 550 acres of beautiful wilderness, we also parallel the Kootenai National Forest Reserve where offroad riding is permitted during times of the year. Access to areas to ride these type vehicles are all within a few miles of the resort property. Guests may use our roads to access external areas to ride and need to obey posted speeds while in the resort.

We do allow non-motorized items to be used within the resort property. We ask that their use not be on any golf course area or the tall grass or fescue surrounding the course and throughout the resort. They may be used on trails and the paved streets.

Do you have a resort curfew?

While we do not have a curfew, we do have quiet time from 10pm – 7am each night.

Do you have walking / running trails?

Yes. Our sports park has a smaller walking trail that is paved. Our roads are always available to be used for paved walking or running. Our resort has many areas which can be explored on foot including a dirt road that surrounds most of the northern area of our resort and connects to a paved road which allows walkers or runners an approximately 2.5 mile trek.

Do you have supervised kid’s activities without needing parents present?

While not every day, we do have activities designed for children and young teens at our sports park. We do have recommended babysitters we can provide where you can hire them while enjoying your own adult activities.

Real Estate Questions

Where can I see prices on your properties?

We are happy to provide pricing to review with our potential homeowners. Because we build each type of home or cottage to the specification of each buyer, we will create a quote after having discussed your preferred lot location and what specifications you’d like on the particular model floor plans we offer. Be sure to review our HOMES & LOTS page to see the various homes and cottages we offer.

Are we able to live year round here?

Yes. We have several homeowners who have chosen to make their estate home their primary residence year round.

Do we have to buy the lot separate from the home?

Yes. However, we will create a single price for the entire custom build once you’ve chosen a lot location.

Do you provide financing options?

Yes. While Wilderness Club Resort does not offer financing, we do work with different lending institutions which we can refer you to during the purchase process. Many home owners have their own lender as well.

Can we build our own home on one of your lots or have our own builder?

We do allow buyers to design and build their own estate home, but not our Luxury Cottages Collection. However, we do have a design board who must approve your plans prior to starting construction. Wilderness Construction is available to bid on and build your estate home if desired.

Do you offer your cottage or home floor plan designs for building elsewhere?

Our Luxury Cottage Collection is exclusive for our community. Our estate home blueprints are also exclusive to be used in our community,

Is there an HOA in the community? What are the guidelines and fees if so?

Yes. All homeowners will be subject to the HOA guidelines and fees. Details about the HOA and related fees are available upon request.

Will I get a golf / resort (social) membership if I buy a home?

While you are eligible to become a golf member, the golf membership fee to join and maintenance dues are a separate cost beyond that of your real estate purchase. However, as a homeowner, you are required to maintain a social membership which also has separate fees beyond your real estate investment.

How long do I have to start building if I purchase a lot?

Our requirement is that you must begin and complete construction within five years of the purchase date.

How much are taxes and other homeowner related fees?

Each property is assessed differently than others within our community. Tax rates for a lot only are available upon request. But other related fees associated with your purchase of a home are explained during the buying process.

Can we have specific features and amenities added to our home?

Because it is a custom built home or cottage, we have the ability to offer many upgrades. In general, the answer is yes as long as the request complies with our design guidelines and HOA requirements.

How long does it take to build?

Generally, the timing is 7-9 months. You will receive an estimated build time schedule once the contract to build has been signed.

Can our cottage be part of the Wilderness Rental Program?

Yes. The Luxury Cottage Collection is actually a great way to acquire your dream vacation home and earn revenue when you’re not using it. Details of the Wilderness Rental Management Program may be learned from a member of the real estate team.

Do we get access to the resort amenities from building a home?

Yes. A social membership is required for homeowners. You will be able to enjoy the water park, Wilderness Lake, the sports park and exercise facility.

Do you provide property maintenance like landscaping, mowing, snow removal, etc.?

Yes. There are related fees for these type services but we do have staff that are designated for this.

Does the community have high speed internet access?

Yes. Each homeowner is responsible to create their own account with the local provider, but our property has high speed fiber lines as part of our infrastructure.
