It may not be all that revolutionary in psychology to know that rest isn’t just about sleep, but is also about the ability to escape the daily grind and let your mental state also rest. Not that anyone in our staff is particularly licensed to assess stress in our guests, but we know based on past visitors and current resort residents that the tranquility and peace of our 550 acres tends to reverse the negativity that can be built up from daily life back at home.
The more we as a society are connected through technology and more efficient methods of producing or servicing customers in our businesses, the faster the pace and demands pile up on us. This can easily become a health burden to anyone if proper periods of rest and escape don’t occur. There’s a historical reason why the work week was defined as 40 hours and any additional work performed deemed as ‘over’time.
Executive getaways are a wise method to recharge and refocus. Many resorts and clubs around the country host executives and staff members or customers of those executives and their company. A quick read from Business Insider demonstrates a few ideas about the importance of these business retreats.

After years of being a hidden gem, it is going to be a lot tougher for Whitefish Mountain Resort to stay out of the national spotlight.
The resort was named the western resort with the highest overall customer satisfaction for the 2019 ski season by SKI Magazine.
The resort issue of the magazine hits newsstands on Tuesday, but some of the results have already been released.
That list includes the highest overall satisfaction category, a category in which Whitefish Mountain finished 10th for 2018.
A spokeswoman for Whitefish Mountain, Christina Polumbus, said that this award means a great deal to the resort because it comes directly from the patrons.
SKI Magazine has been asking its readers to rank the resorts they visit in a variety of categories for over 30 years.
Polumbus says that Whitefish has been mentioned lots in the SKI Magazine rankings in recent years and thinks that their finish at the top of the list this year is well earned.
“Experience is tied to value, and our value is maybe one of the best in the business,” said Polumbus.
“This award truly puts into perspective how our commitment to providing a high level of service combined with unmatched value continues to resonate with our customers and is part of what keeps them coming back year after year,” said Whitefish Mountain Resort CEO Dan Graves in a press release.
Polumbus also noted that Whitefish Mountain Resort always gets major points for their excellent customer service, a category normally reserved for the big resorts, resorts that often charge much more for their services than Whitefish Mountain.
Other things contributing to the nomination include the welcoming atmosphere of the town of Whitefish, the great snow conditions and the diverse terrain Whitefish offers mountain-goers.

Nearby Kalispell International Airport, just over one-hour south-east, boasts daily non-stop flights to many major cities.
We have some exciting new plans for our newly envisioned Village Center! Our new plan creates an intimate pedestrian experience, overlooking the Wilderness Lake and holes 9 and 18, and will include a new golf pro shop, underground golf cart parking, a general store/bakery/deli, a larger fitness center combined with a family activity center, a concierge service, a large “adults only” pool and hot tub area, a new and longer waterslide, attached residential townhomes, a spa and wellness center, gathering areas, and a casual grill along with an upscale dining restaurant. All aspects of this plan afford spectacular views to the golf course and lake and also integrate into our new trail plan. Our architects are fine-tuning this vision now and we will have the layout completed in the next 60 days.
The land around the Wilderness Club Village will be developed into a series of neighborhoods offering very affordable and authentic Montana cottages. These detached Wilderness Cottages will range from a very cool studio cottage, a one-bedroom cottage, and a two-bedroom design. All of the cottage designs will have an optional loft for additional space and a fun sleeping and play area for the kids or extra guests. They will come with a fully furnished option, and complete with cozy stone fireplaces, high ceilings, outdoor fire-pits, large decks, optional hot tubs (and even outdoor showers), and also ready to rent if you so choose. The cottages available for purchase will be priced from the high $200’s and will be located with views to the US Forest Reserve, Wilderness Park views, and garden/mountain views. A limited number of “collectable” Wilderness Cottages will be available next to the Village Center and will have spectacular views overlooking the 18th green and Wilderness Lake.
In order to be “first in line” and be afforded additional information and an opportunity to own a Wilderness Cottage, before the grand opening, we encourage you to contact us at your earliest convenience.
