April is in full bloom, the snowmobiles have begun their long hibernation, and we’ve officially retired our winter coats for the season as we prepare to resume a wide range of exciting spring and summer activities at Wilderness Club Montana. At our sports park, you can challenge family and friends to a round of beach volleyball, basketball, pickleball, soccer, lawn games, or disc golf. Relax on a trail ride or settle in for a bite at the picnic pavilion. When the temps really start to climb, you can cool down at our waterpark, which features not one but two saltwater pools, a 250’ waterslide, a splash pad, cabanas, and much more besides. Out on the lake, you can kayak, canoe, and paddleboard, or try your hand at a little bocce ball or cornhole. As if that weren’t enough, our sandy beach elevates lakeside lounging to a whole new level.
With all the outdoor fun, you’re bound to work up an appetite. That’s why the culinary staff at Wilderness Grille are busy developing a new expanded menu to satisfy even the most ravenous appetites. So come hungry. You’ll be glad you did.
With spring just weeks away, we at the Wilderness Club Resort couldn’t be more excited for budding flowers, verdant landscapes, and the reopening of our acclaimed Nick Faldo-designed golf course. With four tee box positions for each hole—from 5431 yards to more than 7200 yards—our course poses the perfect challenge for all skill levels, whether you’re a seasoned professional or you’ve just learned to swing a club. Marvel at sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains from every square inch of the all-grass driving range, 9000-square-foot putting green, and 7000-square-foot pitching green. Enjoy complimentary bottled water (chilled, of course) and fully equipped, EZ-GO golf carts that make getting from one end of the course to the other a breeze. Not a huge golf fan? Not to worry. We have dozens of other warm weather activities to delight and entertain our guests, including disc golf, trail riding, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, an extensive family sports park, a water park with a 250-foot water slide, and much, much more.
There are few things as romantic as snuggling up with that special someone on a cold winter’s night. Whether you’re wrapped arm-in-arm by the wood-burning fireplace in one of our luxury cottages or exploring the unique shops and attractions of our cozy town, Eureka is the perfect place to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. Embark on a romantic dog sled tour through the beautiful Stillwater State Forest, or stroll along one of the most charming small town main streets this side of the Mississippi. Drop by Farmacy, local purveyor of healing herbs and gourmet coffees housed in a charming old-style bank building; indulge in an authentic diner and soda shop experience at Cafe Jax; and explore the fascinating architecture of Eureka’s Historical Village, which includes a library, church, railroad depot, and much more dating to the late 19th century. Later in the evening, enjoy a sumptuous feast at Wilderness Grille, where our expert culinary team harvests only the freshest ingredients and finest cuts of meat. After dinner, you’ll be eager to retire to the luxurious intimacy of your Wilderness Club cottage.
Gazing across the immaculate expanse of Eureka in winter is a magical experience, like stepping through the enchanted wardrobe into C.S. Lewis’s Narnia or the realm of Hans Christian Andersen’s Snow Queen. At the Wilderness Club Montana, you’ll enjoy a touch of fairytale magic both indoors and out as you wake up each morning warm in your plush, king-size bed, the thrill of adventure just steps from your luxury cottage. Spend the day sledding across the golf course, tracing figure eights on our lakes and ponds, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing among the conifers of Kootenai National Forest. Back at your cottage, gather with friends or family around the outdoor firepit, luxuriate in the steamy serenity of your private hot tub, or curl up with a good book by the wood-burning fireplace. In addition to cozy living areas, our luxury cottages also feature full kitchens equipped to satisfy the most exacting chefs, and of course, you’re always invited to savor a gourmet meal prepared by the award-winning culinary team at Wilderness Grille.
A top travel destination for winter sports and leisure activities, Eureka has something to entice everyone, whether you’re looking for an adrenaline-pumping adventure or a laidback day of winter wonder. In addition to the best snowmobiling in the Graves Creek district, visitors can also enjoy snowshoeing along the trails of the Kootenai National Forest around town and right behind the Wilderness Club. Our resort offers ice skating on the ponds and sledding on the golf course hills, and when snowfall is heavy enough, we even groom the golf course for cross country skiing. You can rent skis from Sportsman & Ski Haus in Whitefish for cross country skiing at our resort, and of course, if you’re dying to hit the slopes, Whitefish Mountain is just an hour’s drive away. If zooming down hills or across snowbanks sounds a little too intense, spend the afternoon visiting the boutique shops of Eureka, finding the perfect gift for that oh-so-hard-to-buy-for person on your list, and dining at the best restaurants in northwest Montana (Wilderness Grille is far and away our favorite—but we admit to being a tiny bit biased).
Eureka, a town whose name means to discover, is a place that continues to amaze, even for those of us who’ve lived here for years. From the Kootenai National Forest, to the Whitefish Mountains, to Glacier National Park, adventure abounds year round.
After a long day spent exploring all the natural wonders Montana has to offer, there’s nothing better than being welcomed home to a delicious meal, which is why, throughout the winter, we’re offering a very special dining experience to all our guests. In addition to enjoying 25% off your Luxury Cottage Rental when you book a 2-night stay, you’ll also be treated to a complimentary Dine and Unwind dinner for 2 at Wilderness Grille, a 75-dollar value that includes one appetizer, two side salads, two hearty entrees, two glasses of wine, and one truly decadent dessert. You’re invited to sit back and marvel at the breathtaking views of the Montana mountains as our expert culinary team treats you to a gourmet meal you won’t soon forget.
There are few things better than an early game of golf in the crisp morning breeze, surrounded by stunning, natural landscapes as the game transports you to another world. And there’s no better time or place to do it than during the fall here at Wilderness Club.
Hanging in the balance between our warm summers and snowy winters, fall in Eureka is the best of both—which makes it the perfect time to grab your clubs and head to the paved pathways of our 7,200-yard golf course. The brisk temperatures guarantee you won’t break a sweat or have to layer up, while the fall foliage provides bright yellows and rusty reds for a picturesque backdrop. Likewise, the busy summer travel season eases into a quieter fall, which means the course is truly all yours to enjoy.
With an all-grass driving range, a 9,000-sq. ft putting green, and 7,000-sq. ft. chipping green, it’s no surprise that our golf course was ranked as the #36 golf course in America by Golf Digest, and #1 in Montana by Golf Week. With breathtaking scenery, easy accessibility and a course that’s built for ease and comfort, our 18-hole course is perfect for players new to the game as well as those that are ready for a championship tournament.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen Montana evolve from being a once-secluded western escape for metropolitan dwellers to a desired home-away-from-home and we couldn’t be happier to share the Wilderness Club with our new neighbors.
What’s behind all the big moves? Well, for starters, let’s talk about Big Sky Country itself.
Blending a laid-back lifestyle with thrilling adventure, Montana’s natural landscape covers a variety of seasons, making it perfect for young explorers, families and even easygoing retirees. From the moment you step outside each morning, you’ll quickly be enveloped in the sights and sounds of nature. Adding to its attractive potential, Big Sky Country also features relatively low property taxes, as well as a cost of living that’s under the national average.
So, choosing Montana definitely makes sense. But what is it about the Wilderness Club that makes it such a desired destination?
Starting with the homes themselves, options are nearly endless across an expansive 550 acres. Ideal for intimate escapes, our Luxury Cottages are a collection of small to midsize rustically furnished retreats, with a full host of available options, including indoor fireplaces, outdoor decks and turnkey configurations.
For larger-scale, longer-term living, our bespoke Estate Homes showcase the best of the west through a variety of layouts that can accommodate up to 16 of your closest friends and family, with additional upgrades that bring your vacation dreams to life in a modern, cabin-style escape.
As if this secluded style and luxury wasn’t enough, the Wilderness Club experience is only beginning. Life truly becomes memorable the moment you arrive with a full selection of amenities and activities that embrace the slow-paced lifestyle.
A favorite amongst the variety of possibilities is the Wilderness Golf Course, which features Sir Nick Faldo design across 18 holes and 7,200 yards that wind around strategically placed traps and lush trees dotting the surroundings. Whether you’re perfecting your swing or playing competitively, post-game relaxation is always within reach, whether you need some time at our Spa and Wellness Center or a table at our Wilderness Grille.
Off-the-course days are just as exciting with paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming at the Wilderness Lake or when taking a walk to our private water park to cool off and play for the day. Plus, future plans for a Lake Koocanusa Beach Club and Marina, Village Club Center, and Event Venue ensure new memories will be made for years to come.
Although we may try our best, every element of the Wilderness Club and Montana living can’t just be explained—it must be experienced. To discover all that your second home could be and to request more information, please visit us here soon.

Responsible for overseeing maintenance and landscaping, resident Greenskeeper Larry Newlin has been working here daily over the past 15 years to ensure everything is in immaculate shape for guests. Passing through each section to ensure there’s nothing overgrown, damaged or otherwise unfit, he has a keen eye for keeping this course perfect.
Even after you’ve finished for the day, chances are you’ll still see his special touch throughout the resort. Serving in another role as our head landscaper, Newlin also prides himself in the beauty and variety of plants we have, using his many years of experience to keep them healthy and blossoming, no matter where you turn—a true match made in Montana.
